Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025-12-17
This Privacy Policy explains how Varro (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Varro mobile application (the “App”).
Summary
- No ads, no third‑party analytics.
- Most workout data is stored locally on your device.
- Some workout data is uploaded to our backend (Supabase) to provide comparable metrics and, for premium users, backup/sync and ranking/squad features.
Information we process
Account identifiers
- Anonymous account ID (created by default): used to associate uploaded metrics with your device/account.
- Upgraded account info (optional): if you choose to upgrade for backup/login on a new device, we may process an email address or another login identifier (depending on your chosen sign-in method).
Workout data
- Workout sessions and related metrics you choose to save in the App (for example: exercises, sets, reps, weights, timestamps, and derived statistics). Exact fields depend on what you enter and which features you use.
- We upload a subset of this workout data to our backend to power “comparable metrics”, ranking features, squads, and premium backup/sync.
How we use information
- Provide core app functionality (logging and viewing workouts).
- Provide “comparable metrics”, advanced insights, ranking, and squads that require server-side processing.
- Provide backup/sync and sign-in on new devices for premium users.
- Security, abuse prevention, and maintaining service reliability.
Where information is stored
- On-device: most of your data remains stored locally on your device.
- Server: some workout data and identifiers are stored in our backend powered by Supabase.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as needed to operate the service, for example with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) acting as a service provider/processor.
Data retention
We retain server-stored data only as long as needed to provide the features you use. You can request deletion at any time (see “Delete your data”).
Delete your data
You can request deletion of your account and associated server data at:
Delete account / delete data
Your choices
- You can use the app without upgrading to a login account (anonymous mode).
- You can stop using cloud features; most data will remain local unless you delete it in the app.
- You can request deletion of server data at any time.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided us personal data, contact us and we’ll take appropriate steps.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date above.
